Course Director
Stephen Power, ESA Piano Teacher Trainer

Open to qualified Suzuki Piano Teachers.
May also be of interest to Violin and Violoncello Teachers.

This course is built around the composition and contemporary chamber music elements of our Summer School, which involves age 7-17.

Composition is led by internationally renowned composer Charlotte Bray, so observers will, for example, be able to observe:

  • students compositions being work-shopped by the composer and the three instrumentalists Henrietta Hill (viola), Rose Hinton (violin), and Andrew Power (cello).
  • tutors working with students on elementary violin/piano duos, intermediate level viola/piano duos, beginning trios, and advanced level trios and quartets, as well as piano duets.

Guidance will be given as to repertoire choice and sequencing, and we will discuss how to implement composition and chamber music within a Suzuki piano programme.

The course is led by Stephen Power and Betty Power (TERI Graduate).

The fee is £100.
This is a non-residential course.

Early application is advised.
