The BSMA is delighted to announce that the Gala Concert at the Royal Albert Hall, London, has been confirmed for SUNDAY 9 APRIL 2023.

The 2020 Gala concert was meticulously planned before it was cancelled because of Covid, so we have kept the same format. Current BSMA instruments are violin, viola, cello, double bass, piano, flute and recorder.

Advanced violins will play Mendelssohn concerto, 3rd movt. Cellos will play Haydn concerto in C, 1st movt. Please see the Gala versions below.

Timothy Murray has composed a spectacular rendition of “Greensleeves” for everyone, in all instruments, as well as writing harmony parts for many of the Suzuki repertoire pieces. Music available later from BSMA.

Registration for this much longed-for event will open in mid-2022. We remind teachers and parents that players must be members of their own National Suzuki Association and that advanced students can only be entered from Suzuki teachers qualified to the appropriate level. Players will be from book 2 in all instruments.

Details are still being arranged so please keep an eye on the website.
